CUMTB CSC Scholarship 2027: Deadline, Eligibility and How to Apply

China University of Mining and Technology, Beijing (中国矿业大学(北京)) invites international students to apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship High-Level Postgraduate Program for September 2027. It is open to Master's and PhD applicants from outside China. Applications are due by 28 February 2027.

What the scholarship offers

  • The notice describes the award as a full scholarship set up by China's Ministry of Education.
  • It does not list tuition, housing or allowance amounts and sends applicants to the CSC website (campuschina.org) for benefit details.
  • The standard CSC Type B package has covered tuition, accommodation, insurance and a living allowance, but confirm the current terms before you rely on them.
  • A university recommendation is not the final award. CSC expert review decides.
  • Registration timing for newly selected students will follow China's entry policies.

Who can apply

  • Non-Chinese citizens in good physical and mental health.
  • Master's applicants need a bachelor's degree and must be under 35.
  • PhD applicants need a master's degree and must be under 40.
  • The Chinese-language notice says "no older than" 35 and 40 while the English notice says "under"; if you are at the limit, ask the university.
  • Chinese-taught programmes require HSK Level 4. English-taught programmes require proof of English ability or at least two years of study in English.
  • You must not hold another Chinese government scholarship or a CUMTB scholarship.

Documents you need

  1. Online application form on the CSC platform.
  2. Highest diploma and academic transcripts.
  3. Study or research plan.
  4. Two recommendation letters.
  5. Passport copy.
  6. Foreigner physical examination record.
  7. Language proficiency certificate.
  8. Non-criminal record certificate.
  9. Financial guarantee letter and bank statement.
  10. A 2-inch colour photo with white background (electronic copy now; printed copies at registration).

How to apply, step by step

  4. Check your email for review results and interview arrangements.
  5. CUMTB experts recommend candidates to the China Scholarship Council, which makes the final decision.

Tips for Bangladeshi applicants

  • Work backwards from 28 February 2027: language scores, recommendation letters and police clearance are the slow items.
  • If you plan an English-taught programme, ask CUMTB which English evidence it accepts and get it in writing.
  • Bangladeshi degree certificates and transcripts often need attestation or certified translation; check the admission requirements and ask the university what it accepts.
  • The bank statement and financial guarantee letter are on the official document list, so prepare them early.
  • Read how the CSC process works for Bangladeshi students before you submit.
