Lanzhou University CSC High-Level Postgraduate Scholarship 2027

Lanzhou University (兰州大学) is accepting applications for the 2027 Chinese Government Scholarship High-Level Postgraduate Program (CSC Type B) for Master's and PhD study. You must apply twice, once on the CSC system and once on the university's own portal. The published deadline is 28 February 2027.

• English-taught programs: IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 80, or other acceptable proof; native English speakers are exempt.
• You may not hold another Chinese government or university scholarship at the same time, apart from one-time awards.

3. Notarized degree certificates (graduating students can use a pre-graduation certificate).
4. Notarized transcripts from undergraduate study up to the latest semester.
5. Chinese or English language proof.
6. Pre-admission notice or acceptance letter from a Lanzhou University supervisor.
7. Study plan of more than 1,000 words or characters; PhD plans must carry the signature of the prospective supervisor.
8. Two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors.
9. Evidence of academic or research achievements such as abstracts, publication lists or awards.
10. Foreigner Physical Examination Form valid for six months.
11. Police clearance issued within six months (the university has a declaration form if it truly cannot be obtained).

1. Create your application on the CSC scholarship system (studyinchina.csc.edu.cn), select Type B and agency number 10730.
2. Submit the separate Lanzhou University online application and upload scans of your originals. A CSC-only application is not accepted.
3. Wait for the review. Shortlisted applicants go through academic review and an interview, then university pre-admission.
4. Upload the documents the university requests to your CSC application. No paper documents are posted.
