Fudan University Pre-University Program 2027: Fees, Rounds, Eligibility
Fudan University's English-taught International Pre-University Program 2027 is a one-year preparatory course for future undergraduates. Round 1 closes 26 February 2027; tuition is CNY 69,000.

Fudan University (复旦大学) in Shanghai has opened applications for its 2027 English-taught International Pre-University Program, a one-year, non-degree course for school leavers aiming at English-taught bachelor's study at Fudan. Round 1 closes on 26 February 2027, and Round 2 runs from 15 March to 15 April 2027.
What the program offers
- A full academic year that strengthens mathematics and the subjects linked to your intended major, delivered with Fudan's School of Economics.
- 16 compulsory credits: Preparatory Mathematics I and II (4 credits each), Introduction to China I and II (2 each) and the Comprehensive Quality Assessment I and II (2 each).
- The Comprehensive Quality Assessment counts monthly themed activities, at least 10 hours a semester of company visits, volunteering or social research, and campus culture or sports events.
- At least 6 credits of pre-major foundation courses chosen to suit the bachelor's degree you plan to enter.
- At least 6 credits of electives, such as basic Chinese, academic English and general courses open to Fudan undergraduates.
- A certificate of completion and an academic transcript if you meet the attendance, coursework and exam requirements.
Completing the year does not secure a degree place. To move into one of Fudan's English-taught bachelor's programmes, you need strong grades, a valid CSCA score report, the usual application documents and a pass in the undergraduate admission interview.

Tips for Bangladeshi applicants
- Apply in Round 1 if your documents are ready. Round 2 is only one month long.
- Most Bangla-medium HSC students will need IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo or PTE. If your college taught fully in English, ask Fudan whether you qualify for the exemption before you skip a test.
- If you are 17, note that your guardian must live in mainland China. If that is not possible, check whether you will be 18 by 1 September 2027.
- Plan the CSCA early, because you need a valid score to progress to a Fudan degree. See our CSCA exam dates guide.
- Budget for tuition, housing and living costs with our study in China cost guide, and read the Fudan University profile.
Frequently asked questions
Is the pre-university program a degree?
No. It is a non-degree year. You receive a certificate of completion and a transcript.
Do I need a CSCA score to apply for the pre-university program?
Not for this application. You need a valid CSCA score report later, when you apply to Fudan's English-taught bachelor's programmes.
Does finishing the year secure a Fudan bachelor's place?
No. Fudan states clearly that undergraduate admission still depends on its normal requirements, your grades and an interview.
Is housing included in the tuition?
No. You can book an on-campus international student room during the booking period or live off campus.
