Peking University's Chinese-taught MTCSOL in Shenzhen takes 2027 international applicants until 25 December 2026. You need HSK 6 (210+); tuition is CNY 78,000 for two years.

Peking University (北京大学) is accepting international applications for its Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL), taught entirely at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School (北京大学深圳研究生院). It is a two-year, Chinese-taught professional master's for graduates who already have advanced Chinese, and the online application closes on 25 December 2026.
What the program offers
- A joint programme of PKU's School of Chinese as a Second Language and the Shenzhen Graduate School, following the same training model as the main Yanyuan campus in Beijing.
- Training in Chinese language and culture, classroom teaching skills and cross-cultural communication, aimed at future Chinese teachers and language-exchange professionals.
- Classes at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, International Campus, University Town of Shenzhen, Nanshan District.
- PKU was among the first universities approved to run this professional master's, in 2007.

Tips for Bangladeshi applicants
- The HSK 6 score must be in your application, so a result that arrives after 25 December 2026 is too late for this round.
- Start the CSCSE verification of your Bangladeshi degree early. Processing is not instant, and graduates must upload the report with the application.
- If you renewed your passport after April 2021, upload the old one as well as the new one.
- Write the 1,500-word statement in Chinese yourself and tie it to a clear teaching goal. The re-examination panel scores research ability and language as well as your file.
- Plan your budget with our cost guide and compare other funding in China scholarships for Bangladeshi students. University overview: Peking University.
